Underpinning

Underpinning is the process used to increase foundation depth, stabilise the footing, and repair faulty footings on double brick or brick veneer homes.

The process of underpinning requires a soil test and a structural engineer design and certification. To make the process as stress free as possible for you Southern Stumping and Underpinning will take care of obtaining all the necessary documents required.

You may require underpinning for a number of different reasons; The soil beneath your foundation my have washed away due to poor site drainage or leaking pipes. Tree roots can also play a major part in affecting and moving your homes foundations. Another common problem is the original foundation may have been of a lesser standard than is required today.
